LAUREL, NJ – Bill MacMillan,
chief executive officer of Association
Headquarters, Inc. (AH), was
recently elected chairman to
the Association Management Company
(AMC) section of the American
Society of Association Executives
(ASAE).
The AMC section is a professional-interest section of ASAE and the professional
home for the principals and staff of the more than 500 association management
companies. The AMC section prides itself on its mission to increase visibility,
utilization, effectiveness, professionalism and profitability of association
management companies.
An AMC is an organization staffed with skilled professionals who provide,
management and administrative support, while serving as full service
staff or as an outsource to existing staff, to volunteer-based membership
organizations.
“ I am eager to serve in this capacity to help educate individuals about
association management companies and the expertise, experience and efficiencies
AMCs bring to associations and professional societies,” said MacMillan.

As a certified association executive, MacMillan offers ASAE more than
30 years association management experience. At AH, he is responsible
for a staff of more than 50 association specialists in executive management,
public relations, financial planning and other support.
MacMillan holds a business administration degree from Gettysburg College
and a master’s degree with an emphasis on voluntary organization
management from Florida Atlantic University.
