MACMILLAN AWARDED HIGHEST HONOR BY IAAMC

MT. LAUREL , NJ – Bill MacMillan, founder and chief executive officer of Association Headquarters, Inc. (AH), was recently honored by the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC) with the Glenn W. Bostrom Award for Service, Quality, and Excellence. This award acknowledges Bill’s commitment and dedication to the Association Management Company (AMC) industry.

Bill is only the third person to win this special award, th e highest honor presented by the IAAMC. In order to be recognized, the individual must be a Principal in an AMC, past or present, whose individual accomplishments are clearly visible, significant, and beneficial to the industry overall. Individuals are nominated by fellow IAAMC members.

Bill served as president of the IAAMC from 1996-1997. He then served as chairman of the Association Management Company section of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) from 2002-2003, becoming the only person to ever serve in both of these industry leadership roles. He has been the recipient of the ASAE Grand Award for Management Achievement, the IAAMC Award of Merit, and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Margaret Dana Award.

MacMillan founded Association Headquarters in 1978 with four small clients, five employees, and a one bedroom apartment serving as the office. Client base continually grew with trade associations, and later expanded to include management of medical associations. Today, the company uses a continuous staff development process to offer full-service and project-based management to its now more than 25 clients with a staff of more than 80 professionals.
