LAUREL, NJ – Association
Headquarters (AH) is pleased
to announce the formation of
the Flag Manufacturers Association
of America (FMAA) as of February
1, 2003.
Representing an industry annually manufacturing more than 100 million
flags of all types and sizes, top United States flag manufacturers have
joined together to educate and promote the quality, variety, and proper
use of flags manufactured in the United States. The association also
provides proper, practical and efficient means of maintaining contacts
among members of the domestic companies that manufacture United States
flags, as well as with local, state and federal government and commercial
entities. Lastly, FMAA facilitates the exchange of information within
the industry by sponsoring education seminars, conferences and programs
on matters relating to the development and enhancement of U.S. flags
manufactured in the United States.
" The charter members of the FMAA chose Association Headquarters based on
its more than 25 years of proven association management experience with both
start-up and long-time associations," said FMAA Chairman, Sandy Van Lieu
of Annin & Co.
The
focus for FMAA is to organize
and advance today’s industry
by developing and setting appropriate
standards for the manufacturing
and marketing of United States
flags. These steps in turn, will
educate consumers about the quality,
variety, and value of a domestically
manufactured United States flag.
Association Headquarters, based in Mt. Laurel, NJ, is a leader in the
field of voluntary organization management. For more than two decades,
the company has provided executive management, trade show management,
meeting and convention planning, public relations, membership development
and administrative support for trade associations and professional societies.
AH is a charter accreditation member of both the International Association
of Association Management Companies (IAAMC) to ANSI standards and the
American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
